However, he also receives white patients for rhinoplasty and various other plastic surgery procedures.

In Dr. Jones’ own words: “I don’t want to be pigeonholed as a black surgeon. I want to be known as a great surgeon who happens to be black.” Prior to accepting the ‘Atlanta Plastic’ show, Dr. Jones made it known to the show’s producers that he would not be indulging in unethical practices such as bashing fellow surgeons on the show.

Dr. Jones, who completed his residencies from Emory University and Grady Hospital, says, “Some of my mentors, the people who taught me about ethnic plastic surgery, were Caucasian.”

Inaugural Episode

The launch episode of ‘Atlanta Plastic’ TV Show features one of the patients of Dr. Jones, who is a Hispanic woman, named Iris. Before she met Dr. Jones, Iris believed herself to be an ‘ugly duckling.’ Dr. Jones carefully evaluated her overall anatomy and understood her innate aesthetic needs and aspirations. Accordingly, he recommended her to go for rhinoplasty, chin contouring, and tummy tuck. After the procedures, Iris appeared much happier and called it her beginning of a new life.
